Shane is an expert in all matters of small/medium business including taxation (federal, state & international), structuring, business commencement, business purchase, business sale, estate planning, tax effective financial settlements under Family Law, corporate, financial, and business management.
Brad Hames
Director
Before Duncan McPhail & Co, Brad had 10 years in the Information Technology industry in London in IT help/support, systems and database management. 3 years’ experience as the financial & IT manager of a state sporting body. He has extensive experience in areas including taxation advice, business management, purchasing and selling of businesses including restructuring and CGT issues.
Gino Franco
Director
Gino has worked in the public accounting profession since 1987 and has extensive experience in advising clients on tax and business issues in most areas of industry and business and also specialises in the real estate, property development and primary production industries.
Anthony Wallis
Director
Anthony started his career at Duncan McPhail in 2002, later becoming a Director in 2007. As a Chartered Accountant, Anthony prides himself on the close relationship he builds with clients and ensures that they receive practical and comprehensive tax and business solutions tailored to their individual needs. Away from work, Anthony loves spending time with family & friends, watching his beloved Freo Dockers and spending as many active hours outside in the beautiful WA sunshine.

Senior Tax Accountant
Michelle is a dedicated professional with a Bachelor of Commerce and an extensive background in tax compliance and advice. She has been a vital part of Duncan McPhail since 2009 and has consistently demonstrated exceptional expertise in providing tax advice for many of our trusted clients. Michelle enjoys supporting the Fremantle Dockers and cooking in her spare time.
Rob Wilding
Senior Tax Accountant
After graduating, Rob achieved his CPA accreditation whilst at the ANZ Bank and made the switch to tax and accounting shortly before the introduction of GST. Rob joined our team in Sept 2018 and manages a wide range of clients from salary and wage earners to high net worth, and small businesses to large corporates consulting on a wide range of issues including structuring, tax planning, payroll tax, fringe benefits tax, and small business concessions. Rob is a member of the West Coast Eagles and enjoys supporting the team (most of the time), following the cricket and trying new BBQ techniques.
Karen Baker
Tax Accountant
Karen joined our team in 2016 as our administration manager. After graduating from university with a Bachelor of Accounting she has now completed her CPA program and is a full time Tax Accountant. Karen also specialises in providing MYOB and Xero bookkeeping advice. In her spare time Karen loves spending time with her grandchildren and cheering on the Fremantle Dockers.
Tonya Tueno
Senior Tax Accountant
Tonya is a CPA and has worked for Duncan McPhail & Co since July 2019. She has been an accountant for 35 years having spent 10 years with the ATO and 20 years at another small accounting firm. She has experience in a wide range of tax and business areas. In her spare time Tonya enjoys camping, hiking, swimming, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Susan Chen
Receptionist / Admin Assistant
Susan has been part of the Duncan McPhail & Co since July 2023. She excels in providing efficient and organized support to ensure smooth office administrative operations. Susan also has experience with Xero & MYOB data entry. In her spare time, Susan enjoys hiking, Pilates and baking.
Siew Sing Tiong
Tax Accountant
Siew joined our team in July 2023 after graduating with Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University. Siew provides comprehensive tax and accounting advice to a wide range of clients. In her spare time Siew loves to practice yoga and calisthenics.
Rosemarie Eckert
Senior Tax Accountant
Rosemarie is a chartered accountant with almost 40 years in the workforce since graduating from WAIT (now Curtin University) with a Bachelor of Business. Rosemarie joined our team in 2007 and specialises in providing comprehensive tax and accounting services and advice to a wide range of clients with a key focus on Self-Managed Superannuation and small business. In her spare time Rosemarie is a keen golfer and loves travelling.
Alan Holt
Tax Accountant
Alan joined our team in 1987 and provides comprehensive tax and accounting advice to a wide range of clients. In his spare time Alan enjoys a wide range of sports and volunteers with a number of organisations focusing particularly on youth activities.
Courtney Leeder
Office Administrator
Courtney has been an integral part of Duncan McPhail since 2022 and is now our office administrator. Courtney has taken a lead role in streamlining our administration systems and improving our client approval systems. Beyond the office walls, Courtney finds solace and joy in the company of her beloved dogs and indulging in podcasts and music.
Rosanne Harris
Secretary/Admin Assistant
Rosanne has been part of the Duncan McPhail Administration team since 1989. Rosanne assists on various matters across the entire span of the firm’s practice as well as looking after the tax return lodgement program. In her spare time Rosanne enjoys spending time with family, taking long country drives, walks in the park and enjoying a coffee out at her local café.
Emily Capelli
Tax Accountant
Emily has been part of the Duncan McPhail & Co team since earning her Bachelor of Business from Murdoch University in February 2020, she specialises in Business Advisory, Taxation, and Superannuation. Emily is currently pursuing her CPA Australia certification. In her spare time, Emily finds herself outside in nature and enjoys camping, 4WD and beach adventures with her two dogs and staying active with netball.
Joanna Hames
Senior Bookkeeper
Jo has been with the firm since 2015 providing our clients with excellent bookkeeping assistance and software training. Jo graduated from the University of Surrey in 1994 with a BA Hons, has also studied bookkeeping and accounting and is a Fellow with the Institute of Public Accountants (AAT). Jo enjoys baking and yoga but not at the same time.
